MI donates floorcloth to benefit Maitland Art Center

Monday, April 27th, 2009

We have just completed our second floorcloth in the new studio and have donated it to the Maitland Art Center to be auctioned off during the Associate Board-organized “pARTicipation” event. In order to make it appealing to a broader range of tastes, this floorcloth is one of the most conservative pieces we’ve done, and at 5′ x 5′, it is certainly one of our smaller pieces. Very pretty, though, right? We hope it will find a good home.

Come join us at the Maitland Art Center for the event May 8 from 6 to 9 pm. See www.maitlandartcenter.org for more info on pARTicipation.

Sign laid out on studio floor

Sign laid out on studio floor

We’re back at it with our friends at Gatorland, this time recreating a big old 60’s-era roadside sign. We’ve put in our research time at the scarey, snakey wooded site, and are now working in the studio on the various pieces that make up this great project. Stay tuned for the grand unveiling!

Finishing Touches

Very exciting to have completed our first floorcloth in the new studio.  On the right side are coasters and placemats.
